Mrs.. Kaeli's and Mrs. Whitcomb's first grade classes were involved in an integrated learning experience. The children dressed as Native Americans and Pilgrims in costumes they created. The classes were teamed together and one-half of this team "traveled" to Plymouth plantation where Mistress Whitcomb instructed them in Pilgrim life. The other team traveled to the Wampanoag nation where Mrs. Kaeli (Squanto's friend) taught them about their way of life and Squanto, who was teacher and friend to the Pilgrims. Special activities were completed in each class which culminated in a friendship feast. "Thankful thoughts" and delicious foods were shared. It was a memorable experience for all involved.
